|We live in a culture that is broken, a culture that searches and glorifies needing someone or something to love them or you’re incomplete. Everyone is looking, crying out for a fix- to feel whole, to have purpose, to be loved, companionship, etc. We are sick (physically, mentally, emotionally) and trying to slap a band-aid on something that requires open heart surgery. Our understanding of love is flawed through years of secular brainwashing and new cultural “norms” (like social media). I’m here to tell you today, the reason you still don’t feel loved and whole is because you’re still searching for it in the world! God is the source for love, he created love, and He freely gives it! My next #biblestudy series will be from my personal ongoing journey of really applying this to my life, cuz I think it’s something we all know, but the true daily application of feeling whole with just God requires some rewiring!| In the meantime family, be reminded:
1 John 2:15-17 “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world- the cravings of the sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does- comes not from the Father but from the the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.”
